Ms. Arezina is a seasoned litigation attorney, having tried multi-million dollar cases to verdict and litigating a wide variety of cases, both in Illinois and throughout the United States.  She has represented clients in cases involving medical malpractice, products liability, construction litigation, insurance coverage disputes and employment discrimination. After 10 years of litigation practice, she leveraged her experience into several in-house positions and in the academic arena, teaching at John Marshall Law School, Dominican University and Truman College.

Representative Cases:

  • Medical Malpractice Defense- Represented a nationally recognized surgeon as lead attorney obtaining a voluntary dismissal on first day of trial. Obtained a jury verdict for a defendant physician on issue of proximate cause. Defended numerous physicians and hospitals in multi-million dollar malpractice cases.
  • Product Liability Defense-Tried first case as a six-month licensed attorney in a bench trial before the Honorable Thomas E. Hoffman (now on the First District Appellate Court of Illinois).
  • Class Action (personal injury)-Performed extensive medical expert oral discovery in a class action lawsuit arising out of a catastrophic accident.
  • Employment Discrimination-Represented City of Chicago in discrimination cases before the Illinois Human Rights Commission.
  • Insurance Litigation- Defended Uninsured/underinsured motorist cases and prepared numerous insurance coverage opinion letters.
  • Construction Litigation- Defended numerous construction professionals in Structural Work Act cases.
